Private Client Solicitor/Legal Executive

As a Private Client Solicitor/Legal Executive, you will play a key role within a busy department, advising clients on all areas of Private Client law. Your responsibilities will include providing expert guidance on wills, estate administration, LPAs, inheritance tax planning, trusts, and Court of Protection matters. You will be integral in supporting clients through often complex and emotional situations, providing them with the care and clarity they need.

Responsibilities:

  • Advising clients on matters such as Wills, Estate Administration, Court of Protection, LPAs, Deeds of Variation, and Inheritance Tax Planning.
  • Drafting Wills and Trusts, providing advice on tax implications and structuring.
  • Assisting clients with estate administration, ensuring legal processes are followed correctly.
  • Managing and progressing your own caseload efficiently, from initial contact to completion.
  • Working alongside other team members to ensure the department meets its objectives and delivers high-quality legal services.
  • Contributing to the firm’s development through business development activities and client relationships.

Skills & Experience:

  • A qualified solicitor (around 2-3 years PQE) or a more experienced Private Client solicitor interested in working 3 days a week.
  • Technical expertise in Private Client law, including wills, probate, trusts, estate administration, and inheritance tax planning.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills, with the ability to explain complex matters in a clear and compassionate way.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a busy caseload efficiently.
  • Ability to work autonomously and use your initiative while maintaining a strong team-oriented approach.
  • IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and experience with case management systems.
