About the Role:
Our client, a highly respected and fast-growing law firm based in Kent and South East London, is seeking experienced Residential Conveyancers to join their busy and dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with strong experience in residential conveyancing to focus purely on the legal side of cases without the burden of handling the paperwork. The firm is exceptionally busy, offering a high volume of cases, and you’ll be supported by dedicated paralegals to handle the administrative aspects of conveyancing, allowing you to concentrate on what you do best – providing expert legal advice and completing transactions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handling a varied caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, new build purchases, shared ownership, and transfers of equity.
• Taking ownership of files from initial instruction through to completion, ensuring a seamless process for clients.
• Reviewing and advising clients on title documents, contracts, and property searches.
• Managing client relationships, ensuring excellent communication and providing updates throughout the process.
• Reporting to clients on complex legal matters, including mortgages, title issues, and any other concerns.
• Overseeing exchanges, completions, and post-completion matters.
• Working closely with paralegals to ensure all paperwork is handled efficiently, giving you more time to focus on the legal aspects of your cases.
• Meeting firm-set financial and performance targets while maintaining high standards of client service and professional conduct.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in residential conveyancing, with proven expertise in handling a caseload from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of all aspects of residential property law, including but not limited to sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and more.
• Experience working in a busy environment with high caseloads and tight deadlines.
• Ability to manage clients and liaise with external parties, such as estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other legal professionals.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Highly organised with good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
• IT literate with experience using case management systems (CMS), Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools.
