The Opportunity

A leading regional law firm is seeking a commercially minded and ambitious lawyer to join their Company & Commercial department. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor or CILEX/FILEX-qualified professional with at least 5 years’ PQE, looking to take the next step in their career within a dynamic and supportive environment.

This role offers the chance to take ownership of building and shaping the commercial contracts practice, working closely with clients, referrers and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality legal services.

Key Responsibilities

You will handle a broad range of commercial contract matters including, but not limited to:

  • Master service agreements, framework agreements and procurement-related contracts
  • Supply of goods and services agreements
  • E-commerce contracts and related documentation
  • Distribution, outsourcing, agency, franchise, reseller, sponsorship, and marketing agreements
  • Advising clients on data protection and UK GDPR compliance
  • Providing commercially strategic, risk-aware advice as part of wider project teams
  • Leading on business development and networking initiatives to drive client engagement and growth
  • Maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring the highest level of service delivery

You’ll collaborate across teams and office locations to deliver seamless client service, playing a key role in both transactional and advisory matters.

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor or CILEX/FILEX with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE in commercial contracts
  • Excellent technical expertise with the ability to advise confidently and clearly
  • A strong understanding of UK GDPR and data protection compliance
  • Skilled in business development and building long-term client/referrer relationships
  • Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow a practice area
  • Outstanding communication, organisation, and client care skills
  • A genuine team player with a collaborative approach
