The Opportunity
An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join a busy and highly regarded commercial litigation team handling a broad range of High Court disputes. This role is ideal for a solicitor at the junior end of their career (0–3 PQE) looking for hands-on responsibility, but more senior candidates with complementary expertise or a client following are also encouraged to apply.
You will manage and run your own cases across a diverse commercial litigation portfolio, including contract disputes, corporate matters, insolvency, insurance, professional negligence, and procurement cases. The team has several complex, high-value trials scheduled over the next 12–18 months, including multiple week-long hearings, providing a fantastic platform to gain or expand trial experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and running High Court commercial litigation cases
- Collaborating with partners on larger, high-profile disputes
- Handling client communication and negotiating with opposing parties
- Preparing for and participating in multi-week trials
- Developing expertise across a wide spectrum of commercial litigation
About You
- Qualified Solicitor (0–3 PQE preferred; senior candidates considered)
- Proven or demonstrable experience in High Court commercial litigation
- Confident managing cases independently with a proactive, hands-on approach
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Enthusiastic about gaining substantial trial experience and case ownership
- Candidates who have only assisted peripherally on large cases are less likely to be a good fit
