About the Role

A well-established regional law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join their expanding Company and Commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity for a solicitor or CILEX/FILEX-qualified professional with over five years PQE who is looking to progress their career in a supportive and flexible environment.

You will advise employer clients across a broad range of transactional, non-contentious, and contentious employment matters. The role requires exceptional client care, strong technical expertise, and business development acumen to grow and lead the firm’s employment law offering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive HR advice and support to employer clients
  • Draft service agreements, contracts of employment, staff handbooks, and relevant policies
  • Assist clients with disciplinary procedures and internal investigations
  • Advise on employee terminations, redundancies, restructuring, and prepare settlement agreements with understanding of tax implications
  • Support transactional corporate work including TUPE matters, due diligence, and related employment issues
  • Advise on boardroom disputes
  • Represent clients in employment tribunals and courts on claims such as unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal, and discrimination
  • Deliver training sessions, seminars, and legal updates
  • Contribute regularly to the firm’s social media and business development activities

About You

  • Qualified solicitor or CILEX/FILEX with 5+ years PQE in employment law
  • Proven track record advising employers on a variety of employment matters
  • Strong commercial and technical legal knowledge in employment law
  • Demonstrated business development skills and ability to grow client relationships
  • Excellent client service skills with a commitment to delivering against service standards
  • Team player with a positive attitude, good judgment, and risk awareness
  • Able to manage a mixed caseload and collaborate across teams and offices
