Hours: Monday to Friday, standard office hours

The Opportunity

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Senior Contentious Probate Lawyer to lead an established team of two solicitors within a highly respected and ambitious firm. The firm is ranked Band 1 in both Chambers High Net Worth Guide and Legal 500 for its private client and litigation teams respectively, regularly handling high-profile, reported cases.

The role offers a chance to shape and grow the contentious probate team, with the full support of an experienced litigation department including partners, senior associates, solicitors, and trainees. The firm is collegiate, friendly, and focused on ambitious growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and developing the existing contentious probate team
  • Running and managing a varied caseload of high-value contentious probate matters
  • Mentoring, training, and supporting junior colleagues
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Generating new work and efficiently managing an existing growing caseload

About You

  • Solicitor with 6+ years PQE, ideally senior associate or partner level
  • Proven track record of handling high-value contentious probate cases
  • Experience in mentoring and developing legal teams
  • Strong client relationship and business development skills
  • Confident leader capable of setting strategic direction for the team
